TICK'IT GROUP
PURCHASE TERMS
Last Updated: February 2025
Please read these Purchase Terms carefully as they set out the terms on which you purchase a ticket through the TICK'IT website (www.tickit.co), the TICK'IT mobile application (the "App"), or via any other services, features, content, or platforms operated by TICK'IT (the "Services"). All purchases for tickets, goods, and services are subject to these Purchase Terms. These Purchase Terms incorporate our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy by reference.
We may update these Purchase Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the Services following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. Please check www.tickit.co periodically for updates.
1. About Us
1.1 TICK'IT comprises various group companies, including TICK IT HOLDINGS LTD (UAE), TICK IT SAL (440 Dimitri Hayek Street, Sin El Fil, Lebanon), TICK IT TECHNOLOGIES LTD (UK), and TICK IT EXHIBITIONS SPORTS LLC (UAE) (together, the "TICK'IT Group"). These Purchase Terms are issued on behalf of the TICK'IT Group, so when we mention "TICK'IT", "we", "us" or "our", we are referring to the relevant company in the TICK'IT Group.
1.2 We are a disclosed ticketing agent selling tickets via our website, App, and Services on behalf of promoters, organisers, managers, artists, and venues of music, entertainment, sports, and similar events (our "Event Partners"). We sell tickets allocated to us by our Event Partners, so the tickets available for each event will vary and we do not control the ticket inventory or availability.
2. Contract
2.1 Any ticket purchased or otherwise acquired ("Purchased") through the Services is subject to:
- These Purchase Terms;
- Our Terms of Use;
- Our Privacy Policy;
- Any additional terms and conditions of the relevant Event Partner(s), which may be found on their respective websites, at the venue, or disclosed during the ticket purchase process.
2.2 We facilitate the purchase of tickets for events. Where TICK'IT is not the event organiser, we exclude any liability for the quality or nature of any event, including but not limited to: the view at the venue, sound quality, local conveniences, accessibility, or any aspect of a streamed event.
2.3 When you purchase a ticket, you obtain a right to attend or experience the event as granted by the relevant Event Partner. The Event Partner will be identified in the event listing, preceded by the words: "Presented by". The Event Partner is responsible to you for the relevant event. From time to time, TICK'IT may itself be the Event Partner, which will be clearly stated in the event information.
2.4 Any changes to an event after your purchase (such as a change of date, time, location, programme, or artist, or an event cancellation) are the sole responsibility of the Event Partner. See Section 3 for details on cancellations and changes.
2.5 By completing a purchase on the Services, you are making a contractual offer to purchase the ticket(s). This offer is accepted by TICK'IT on behalf of the Event Partner once you receive a confirmation email from us. It is therefore important that you provide an accurate email address.
2.6 Upon purchase, you will receive a confirmation email containing event details. Your ticket is stored within the App under the "Tickets" section and/or sent to your email in PDF format with a unique QR code. Your ticket must be presented (in printed or electronic format) for entry to the event. For certain events, you may be required to present identification.
2.7 Ticket quantities may be limited per event as specified during the purchase process. Purchases across multiple sessions may be aggregated to enforce limits. TICK'IT reserves the right to cancel orders that exceed published limits without notice.
3. Cancellations, Postponements, and Changes
Important:
Refunds (if eligible) can only be issued by TICK'IT if and when we receive the corresponding funds from the Event Partner. The Event Partner remains responsible and liable for payment of any refunds due. Service fees, booking fees, and/or delivery fees charged by TICK'IT are non-refundable in the event of cancellation or postponement of an Event, except in the event of a fault or failure by TICK'IT in providing the Services (for instance, in case of a documented technical malfunction that prevented you from presenting a valid Ticket).
3.1 Event Cancellation
If an event is cancelled by the Event Partner, the Event Partner is responsible for establishing a refund policy. TICK'IT will arrange for a full refund to ticket holders on the Event Partner's behalf, subject to receiving the refund amount from the Event Partner. We aim to process refunds within five (5) working days of receiving the funds. TICK'IT will remove the event and any related listings from the Services and notify Buyers of the cancellation.
3.2 Event Postponement or Rescheduling
If an event is postponed or rescheduled, ticket holders may be given the option (subject to local laws) to either exchange their ticket for the new date or receive a refund, subject to the Event Partner's refund policy and deadline. TICK'IT is not obligated to provide a refund unless instructed by the Event Partner and in receipt of the refund amount. Original tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date.
3.3 Other Event Changes
TICK'IT is not responsible for other event changes, such as partial performances, venue changes, line-up changes, or time changes. No refunds or credits will be issued under such circumstances unless the Event Partner directs otherwise.
3.4 Notification
If an Event Partner notifies us of changes to an event, we will send notification to your registered email address or phone number and inform you of the Event Partner's reimbursement procedures where applicable.
3.5 No Refund After Event
We will not reimburse the cost of tickets after an event has taken place unless instructed by the Event Partner. You are not entitled to a refund if you fail to attend, make an error when purchasing (e.g., wrong quantity or date), or are denied entry for reasons unrelated to ticket validity.
3.6 Cash Refunds
For purchases made via cash payment methods (OMT, WHISH Money, Bob Finance, or at the door), refunds will be processed via the same payment method. Cash refunds must be claimed within 30 days of the cancellation notification, after which the refund will expire.
4. Prices and Fees
4.1 The price of tickets listed on the Services includes applicable taxes (including VAT, where applicable) and will be the price indicated at the time you place your order. Prices may change over time, but you will pay the price shown when you complete your purchase.
4.2 Service fees, booking fees, and/or delivery fees may apply and will be clearly disclosed before you complete your purchase. Each payment method may carry its own additional service charges as disclosed on the payment page.
4.3 At the time of payment, a 3D Secure check or equivalent strong customer authentication may be carried out by your banking institution.
4.4 We accept payment via Visa, MasterCard, Apple Pay, and other payment methods indicated on the Services. Cash payments are accepted in Lebanon via OMT, WHISH Money, Bob Finance branches, and at the door of select events.
4.5 If we discover a pricing error, we will contact you to offer the option of confirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we cannot reach you, we may treat your order as cancelled and process a refund.
4.6 Payment in Instalments
TICK'IT may offer an instalment payment service for selected Events, free of charge. When prompted at checkout, you may elect to pay in two (2) or three (3) monthly instalments. The first instalment is charged on the day of the order, while the following instalments are charged after subsequent periods of one (1) month. Payment in multiple instalments is only offered when the date of the order precedes the start of the Event by at least one (1) month.
Tickets paid in multiple instalments are only issued when the full price has been paid. If you fail to remit payment for subsequent instalments, you will receive alerts at your registered contact details, which will include a link to a payment page. If you do not remit payment within five (5) days following the first delinquency, your order will be suspended. In that case, you should contact TICK'IT at support@tickit.co to regularise your order or arrange a refund of the instalments paid to date.
5. Ticket Delivery and Access
5.1 Tickets are delivered electronically via the App and/or by email in PDF format, each containing a unique QR code corresponding to your order. You must present your ticket (printed or electronic) at the event for entry. There will be only one entry per ticket.
5.2 In the case of a group order, the owner of the Tickets is the initial Buyer until they transfer the Tickets to the intended recipients through the platform. Recipients who receive a transferred Ticket become the legitimate holders of that Ticket.
5.3 If you do not receive a confirmation email after purchase, or experience an error during payment, it is your responsibility to contact us at support@tickit.co to confirm whether the order was placed.
5.4 Some events may require you to produce identification for entry. It is your responsibility to check event requirements and ensure compliance.
5.5 If multiple parties attempt entry using the same ticket, only the first party to arrive with the ticket will be admitted.
5.6 Waiting List and Automatic Purchase
Once an Event is sold out, you may join a waiting list via the App. You may also select the "Automatic Purchase" feature, which enables you to purchase a Ticket automatically when one becomes available, regardless of the type of Ticket offered. Users who do not select the "Automatic Purchase" option will be offered Tickets after users who use this feature. When a Ticket becomes available to you, you will be notified and will have a limited time to complete the purchase.
By activating the "Automatic Purchase" option, you authorise TICK'IT to charge your designated payment method if a new Ticket becomes available for the Event. Being on the waiting list does not guarantee that you will be able to purchase a Ticket, as this depends on the number of Tickets made available and your position on the waiting list.
6. Resale and Transfer of Tickets
6.1 Resale
TICK'IT may offer a resale feature allowing you to list your ticket for resale to other TICK'IT users. Not all tickets will be eligible for resale; TICK'IT reserves the right to determine which tickets may be resold. When your ticket is listed for resale, it will be added to the resale queue and offered to other users. There is no guarantee that your ticket will sell.
If your ticket is successfully resold, TICK'IT will refund the face value of the ticket. Any booking or payment processing fee originally paid will not be refundable. Tickets will be resold at the current price point set by the Event Partner; you will not be compensated for any price difference.
If your ticket is not sold through the resale feature, you will retain your ticket and no refund will be issued.
6.2 Transfer
For certain events, you may transfer your ticket to another registered TICK'IT user via the App, subject to the Event Partner's terms and any transfer deadline. The sender is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the recipient's details. Once a ticket is transferred, the sender forfeits all rights to that ticket.
Any payment between sender and recipient must be arranged separately and directly between them, and must not exceed the face value of the ticket. Transfer of tickets for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited and may result in cancellation of the ticket and suspension of your Account.
6.3 Prohibition on Unauthorised Resale
You may not resell, transfer, duplicate (including screenshots), or commercially exploit your tickets except through the official features provided within the Services. Any unauthorised resale or transfer is a material breach of these Purchase Terms and may result in immediate cancellation of the ticket(s) without refund, and suspension or termination of your Account. To protect yourself, we strongly advise against using external resale services.
7. Event Restrictions and Venue Access
7.1 Some events may have restrictions regarding dress code, age, or other requirements. It is your sole responsibility to review event descriptions and comply with all restrictions. You will not be eligible for a refund if you are denied entry due to failure to meet event restrictions.
7.2 The Event Partner reserves the right, on reasonable and lawful grounds, to refuse entry to or remove from the premises any ticket holder, without requirement to offer a refund. This includes, without limitation, ticket holders who:
- Behave in a manner likely to affect the enjoyment of other attendees;
- Use threatening, abusive, or insulting behaviour;
- Appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
- Fail to produce proof of identity or age when required;
- Fail to comply with health and safety measures, including public health requirements.
7.3 TICK'IT shall have no liability if you are refused entry to an event by an Event Partner.
8. Recording and Images
8.1 Certain events may be recorded for commercial and/or promotional purposes by the Event Partner or TICK'IT. By attending an event, you consent to your image being captured and used in promotional materials, social media, and other channels related to the event and the Services.
9. Liability
9.1 TICK'IT assumes no responsibility for tickets purchased through third parties or unofficial sales points.
9.2 TICK'IT is not responsible for:
- Loss or theft of personal devices or any tickets stored on them;
- Personal arrangements including travel, accommodation, or hospitality relating to event attendance;
- Any exchange or bank fees incurred by you in the normal course of payment or reimbursement.
9.3 Our liability to you in connection with any event and the ticket you purchased shall be limited to the price paid by you for the ticket or USD $5, whichever is higher.
9.4 Nothing in these Purchase Terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any matter for which liability cannot be lawfully excluded.
10. Suspected Fraud
10.1 We have the right to remove or revoke your tickets and provide a full refund to the payment card account holder if your purchase is suspected of being fraudulent or if we have grounds to suspect your tickets were purchased using a stolen card ("Suspected Fraud").
10.2 We are not obliged to notify you of the removal, revocation, or refund, nor to provide details of the Suspected Fraud, in order to protect fraud investigation methods.
10.3 If you believe your tickets have been removed incorrectly, you may dispute this by contacting support@tickit.co.
11. Promotional Codes and Credits
11.1 TICK'IT may offer promotional codes, discount credits, or other credits ("Credits"). To use a Credit, you must have a registered Account. Credits will expire on the date stated in the offer, or if no expiration date is listed, one year from the date the Credit first became available to you.
11.2 Unless otherwise stated, Credits are for one-time use only. If the ticket price is less than the Credit amount, the difference cannot be applied to subsequent purchases. Credits may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed. TICK'IT reserves the right to withdraw or deactivate any Credit at any time.
11.3 Credits may only be redeemed through the Services and not through any other website or channel.
12. Consumer Rights and Cooling-Off Period
12.1 Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have statutory rights including a cooling-off period during which you may cancel your purchase. However, in most jurisdictions, tickets for events scheduled on a specific date are exempt from cooling-off rights.
12.2 Where a cooling-off period applies to an event, you may cancel your purchase within the applicable timeframe (typically 14 days), unless the event is scheduled within 24 hours, in which case no cooling-off refund will be available.
12.3 Nothing in these Purchase Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the laws of your jurisdiction.
12.4 For UK and EEA consumers: you have a right to cancel goods within 14 calendar days of receipt. Services and event tickets are generally exempt from this right once the event date is set. For further information on your statutory rights, please contact your local consumer protection authority.
13. Charitable Donations
Where an Event Partner is a registered charity or supports a charitable cause, they may offer you the option to add a donation to your ticket purchase. Such donations are entirely voluntary, are not required to complete your purchase, and are non-refundable even if the related ticket is refunded.
14. Governing Law
14.1 The governing law applicable to these Purchase Terms depends on the TICK'IT Group entity with which you are transacting and/or your location, as set out in Section 14 of our Terms of Use.
14.2 Except for Event Partners (who may enforce rights expressly granted for their benefit), no one other than a party to these Purchase Terms has any right to enforce any of these terms.
15. Complaints
If you have any complaints regarding a purchase or event, please contact us at support@tickit.co or call +961 1 423 500. For complaints related to the event itself, you may also contact the Event Partner directly via the contact information provided on the event page.
